Upon logging in, navigate to the "SofTest" tab to Download and register SofTest.
#EXAM SOFT PASSWORD#
Log in from the 'Exam Takers' box (located in the upper left of this page) using the login and password provided in the email sent by Tammie Johnson. To Log In, Download and Register SofTest: Screen Resolution must be 1024 x 768 or higher To run properly SofTest requires the following:ĢGHz Intel® Core™/Celeron™ or equivalent x86 processor Minimum Hardware Requirements: Vermont Law School does not support any Tablet-PC's, including Microsoft Surface or iPads. **Only genuine versions of Mac Operating Systems are supported **Only genuine versions of Windows Operating Systems are supported Microsoft Windows Vista (32-bit or 64-bit) Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 or higher (English 32-bit only) If a student hasn't downloaded and tested SofTest prior to the exam they will have to handwrite their exam in bluebooks. Students are responsible for ensuring that SofTest works on their laptops prior to the exam. The mock exam was created to give students an opportunity to test SofTest on their laptops and also to allow students to become familiar with the program BEFORE exams. It is recommended that all students take the mock exam which is a fake exam.
#EXAM SOFT REGISTRATION#
Once the credentials are entered the registration should update. The program will prompt them for their user credentials. Students can re-activate their registration by going into SofTest and clicking on the "Download Exam Files". SofTest may be downloaded multiple times on multiple machines registration is to the individual user, not the machine.Įvery year each student's registration expires. SofTest is used by 42 State Supreme Courts for delivery of the Bar and Legal Specialization exams. SofTest enables students to take their exams on their own laptop by blocking all access to files, programs or the internet during the exam.

SofTest is the only computer program, developed and licensed by ExamSoft that Vermont Law School utilizes for exam taking. The request to IT should contain the student's entire exam schedule. If a student does not have a laptop they can reserve one through the IT department by sending an email to: Students should email their request as soon as they know they will need a computer for exam period. Please note: Tablets and iPads are not supported and cannot be used for exams. In order for students to take exams on ExamSoft they must download the student portion of the program called SofTest onto their laptops (see system requirements below). Vermont Law School uses a program called ExamSoft to administer exams.
